Now in the Shop: The Fog by Precipice Coffee
We’re thrilled to introduce The Fog, a custom medium-dark roast blend crafted by our friends at Precipice Coffee. This bold, balanced coffee pairs beautifully with our cheese—especially our fresh Ricotta. The Ricotta's creamy richness naturally softens the coffee's acidity, taking the place of added cream and highlighting the blended notes of orange peel, dark chocolate, and dried cherry.
When we decided to experiment with coffee and cheese pairings, we immediately went to our friends at Precipice. After over a decade in the coffee roasting, hospitality, and beverage sales industry, Maggie and Bill Iannuzzi opened Precipice Coffee in July 2021 in downtown Ellsworth, Maine. A small workshop was converted into a coffee roastery and tiny shop where they roast coffee, bake pastries, and make beverages all with solar power.
As Maine's first solar powered coffee roasting business operating on an electric and ventless zero emissions roaster, they provide a range of sustainably sourced beans from light to dark roast. Supporting other local businesses through coffee partnership and sourcing of baking ingredients is very important to Precipice Coffee, so partnering up together has been a dream!
